Charter Fair 2026 celebrates the National Year of Reading. We will be collaborating with Thrapston Town Council to raise funds to install Little Libraries around the town where books can be borrowed and swapped.

Little Libraries have blossomed into a lovely, almost global, movement dedicated to book sharing and community engagement. These quaint book exchanges, typically housed in small, artistically decorated boxes, encourage people to "take a book, leave a book".

Little Libraries might be small, but their impact on community engagement and literacy is profound. They remind us that even the smallest acts of sharing can create waves of positive change in a community. By fostering a love for reading and bringing people together, Little Libraries contribute significantly to educational and social enrichment.

We are also working with Thrapston Library to highlight the joys of reading.

There are plans for the first Thrapston Little Library in the Peace Park later this year.
